PAL Charter school continues the charge to feed students and Families in the I.E.
PAL Charter Academy (PCA) extends partnership with the Better 4 You Meal Program to provide 1500 "grab and go" breakfast and lunches per day for students and families in the I.E. PAL Center and PCA staff and volunteers pledged to continue filling the food void for students and families after spring break.
PCA will be providing meals for the remainder of the school year for students and families throughout the I.E. "We have a moral obligation to make sure students and families in the community have food to eat," said Dwaine Radden Sr., CEO of PCA. He reminded the PCA team of the old African proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child", and that is what we are here to do. PCA has 3 food distribution locations. (see location addresses below)
Steve Holguin, the representative for Better 4 You Meals said, “Since the statewide school closures started on March 16th, Better 4 You Meals has provided over 400,000 breakfast and lunches throughout California.
Radden saw a huge need to extend the food program to ensure students have food after spring break and with the help of Holguin, the two put a plan together to extend the food program for students and families in San Bernardino, for the remainder of the school year.
